...we sold the last of Mickey's brothers & sisters today.

Sorry NM, we can find you something else when you're ready.

It's okay Blueberry Muffin Man.

As long as Mickey's brothers and sisters went to good homes, I am sure Mickey is happy about that. ^-^

He is not flashing or crashing my screen, so yep. Mickey is happy they went to good homes.

:D

Lessons learned...

...so Morri and I are sitting at the corner bar one night, carrying on in our usual way after a couple games of pool. It was quiet in there; only about five other patrons seated around a large, rectangular bar.

The bartender, whom we speak with often, steps over to us and strikes up a conversation. It turned toward occupations. We explained what we do and his eyes lit up.

Turns out he is the purchaser for the city my office is in and he had been disgruntled with his current IT services provider.

We've been doing business with him ever since.

The lesson, as Morri put it a couple weeks ago is, "You never know - so talk to everyone and anyone."

Hence why we advertise here on VR and across the Dark Network - a society of 15,000 with many more guests that view the site and maybe never sign up, but you never know if an ad or a mention of what you do will catch someone’s eye. Maybe they're a fellow business owner, or the director of a non-profit agency. Maybe they have a home-office and just need help or advice.

We've actually found a number of new and good customers for our services here. We're hoping to find more.

But it to keep it going, our message has to stay fresh in the mind of everyone who reads it.

And it always helps when that message is spread by those for whom we work hard at exceeding their expectations.

Or in other words - referrals are ALWAYS appreciated!

And often times, even rewarded. :)

Well you know I speak highly of Aspire :P

The service I got from you all beats anything I have ever had contact with before. ^-^

I'm glad we have been able to do that for you! And again, thank you for sticking with us!

There are a lot of choices out there - we're glad you chose us!

Good day

We had an open house of sorts yesterday at the office, along with a lunch & learn. We invited in our Xerox rep to give demonstrations on ScanFlowStore, which is this totally kick-ass document management system.

Imagine - you scan in a document, the software reads it, knows what it is and creates a logical folder and file name to store it, making it a completely text searchable pdf that you can bring up in mere seconds.

It wowed pretty much everyone who attended.

But Morri and I were discussing it later - we are considering offering lunch & learns on a more frequent basis; probably monthly.

I have some ideas about the kinds of demos I want to perform, but I need some ideas about what other people WANT to learn.

So, give me ideas folks. What in the technology world would interest you to learn more about?

God, I need that. Whenever Stabb gets his hands on my folders, he makes a sub-folder with NOT in the title. Like in my Documents folder, there is now a "Not Documents folder" ;)

Cars on the cheap!

That is the idea here. One of our long-time customers is Upstate NY's most responsive asset recovery company (read that, Repo Men).

Their new initiative is an auction website to help the banks auction off vehicles in a more customer direct way instead of one of those huge 1,000 cars per day auction lots.

Morri is developing their website - starting off keeping it clean and simple so they can start marketing it, but I have to say, she is putting a whole lot of thought into the design and making it clean, feature rich and easy to use for both the shoppers and our customer.

Huge kudos to her on this project!

Why does it always have to be about the size of her kudos? I mean, you men are always the same. I...what? Hang on a second...

F'in Banks

Why can't Bank of America pick a day that my business credit card is due and just stick to it?

Drove out to Albany/Schenectady this morning to do some work... stopped for lunch in between jobs and hopped on here.

Is that the sign of addiction?

But, I'll tell you what.. I love finding decent chinese restaurants while on the road. $6 for a good lunch, with hot tea and a General Tso's Chicken combo plate.

Belly... full. I really don't want to get back in the car now... but, alas... off to work I go.

I have had my share of dealing with BofA, up to an including getting rid of everything but my credit card for emergencies, which I informed them of (and the reasons for it ) only to get down to Florida from Canada, need the card at it's limit of $10,000, and then three weeks they decided to reduce the credit limit for "lack of use" by HALF. Yet when I called and demanded they reinstate my original limit, they said it would take 6 weeks. My argument?

"Didn't take you 6 weeks to REDUCE it. AND I got no notice."

They moved it from $10,000 to $5,000 overnight, but took 4 weeks to move it up to $7,500.

I'm keeping the card, but I swear I will never put another thing on it unless it is a dire emergency. I'll just let it sit there out of spite.

I hate Bank of America
